We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Betfair International team (part of The Stars Group and Flutter International)

The role will be based in Leeds, but as our teams work both from Leeds and across the globe it will be a flexible contract with the expectation of working from the office around twice a week, or more if you like our amazing new office in Wellington Place.

Are you our next star player?

You will help to articulate and document the needs of the business including regulatory and technical requirements for our International Sportsbook, Gaming products and the Betfair Exchange. You’ll work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced & delivery focused team, with a desire to ‘muck in’.

Why we need you

Betfair International is growing and we want to make sure our customers are having epic betting and gaming experiences no matter where they are in the world. To do this we want to leverage the best of the UKI platform we ‘live’ on, identify opportunities for improvement, and localise to lay the foundations for a future podium position in key markets. There is always a need for analysis to ensure we are compliant in an everchanging regulatory environment, with each country having their own rules and restrictions to keep customers safe.

We’re looking for someone that can:

• Work with business stakeholders from across Commercial, Tech, Product, and more to identify and analyse complex problems and opportunities
• Be an exceptional communicator and confident reaching out and collecting requirements from all areas
• Understand and adapt to a variety of cultures and ways of working
• Elicit requirements using various techniques (e.g. workshops, interviews) and translate them into clear documents to help steer key business decisions
• Be a bridge between sequesters and technical teams by translating the requirements into technical artefacts, and communicating the solution back to the business teams
• Update requirements as needed – work to deliver value to customers as quickly as possible and pivot when we learn more or things change beyond our control
• Contribute towards cross-tribe business analysis knowledge sharing
• Balance multiple products, alongside projects, and complete on product deliverables

Your experience:

• Previous experience working as a business analyst in an IT delivery function
• Experience of using Agile/Scrum and tools including JIRA and Confluence
• Experience performing analysis and management at all levels of the organisation, building and maintaining relationships
• Running workshops to gather requirements, promote collaborative working and/or align stakeholders
• Commercial awareness and an application of cost benefit analysis to requirements and delivery, knowing when to take a pragmatic approach
• Experience working in the online gaming industry could be advantageous but not needed
• Knowledge of either Sportsbook and/or trading platforms could be advantageous but not needed

Your behaviours:

At Betfair International how we do things is just as important as what we do and crafting an environment where everyone can excel is our main focus. You are customer focused and show passion in everything you do. You will be working as part of a small team encouraging those around you. You are proactive in a constantly evolving environment and strive for perfection.

What’s in it for you?

Our experience-based salaries are competitive.
Your package will include:

• Discretionary annual performance bonus
• Starting from 25 days paid annual leave increasing with service
• Health and dental insurance for you, and 50% coverage for your partner and your children (if you all live at the same address)

• Social events; including our sensational summer and Christmas parties
• Online Discount Scheme, including discounted shopping and cinema vouchers.

What happens next?
